In 2023, when Aaron left teaching to join me full-time at the studio, we were stepping into a season of uncertainty.
For Father's Day that year, the kids and I made him a painting.
They helped paint it and cut out the letters that read: "Toma el riesgo, vale la pena" — Take the risk, it's worth it. This was phrase that he taught to his Spanish classes for 14 (!) years.
Recently, we felt like Our Lady of Guadalupe needed a place in our home, so we brought her into this piece.
